Since 1866 Salem Baptist Church has played a central role in the religious and social lives of many African-Americans in Champaign and Urbana. This virtual exhibit offers a history of technology use in the church since 1950. The second section of this virtual exhibit focuses on Salem Baptist Church's digital representation, by showcasing historical texts and modern websites that feature and celebrate Salem Baptist Church.
