This radio documentary tells the story of how the University of Illinois struggled with issues of race, gender and disability over the past half-century. University Laboratory High School students worked with public radio station WILL-AM 580 to conduct sixteen interviews with former and current U of I athletes, administrators and coaches to reveal their efforts to prevail over cultural divides that made athletics inaccessible for African-Americans, women and people with disabilities.
